Former Alcor President and legendary Cryonics advocate Max More has made a great contribution to the literature of cryoncs, and a handsome tribute to his longtime friend Mike Perry, by pulling together more than fifty articles and essays by the recently deceased philosopher and lifelong cryonics activist.
More sorted through back issues of Cryonics magazine from its beginnings to 2009 and ended up with over fifty historical essays, and highlighted another fifteen non-historical articles.
Perry, author of Forever For All, perhaps the strongest philosophical and ethical defense of cryonics, was intrigued not only by the nature of cryonics, but also by the history of cryonics and immortalism. He wrote many articles on its history that are significant parts of that history in and of themselves.
In More’s compilation, Perry examines into the lives of cryonics pioneers such as Evan Cooper, Jerry Leaf, Dante Brunol, Jerry White, Robert Ettinger, and Curtis Henderson. More aims to create a comprehensive cryo-history archive of Perry’s writings. Till then, he’s generously made more than fifty examples of some of Mike Perry’s best writing freely available on Substack.
